Critical Assassin
Ok, bearing in mind that my assassin is still level 18 and doesn't have the right runes, this seems to work well :P
Skills
-----
Jagged strike
Wild Strike
Critical Strike
Vipers Defense
Critical Eye
Way of perfection
Shadow refuge (or whatever you want :P)
Res Siggie
Att points
---------
13 in Critical attacks (that way you benefit from the +3 energy per critical)
8-9 in shadow skills (makes way of perfection last longer and do more good)
13-14 In Dagger mastery (sup rune if you can get one :P)
The logic of this is that with 13 in critical and with critical eye up you get just under 20% chance to score a critical (seems to happen a lot more often than that though I'd say). You gain a healthy amount of energy back per critical and with way of perfection up you get some nice health back too.
You cause a conditions from the word go, followed by a great stance remover (love it ) and finally a huge spike in the way of critical attack which guarentees you most of your energy back, nice bit of health (with the enchants up) and strikes for huge damage.
When things get hetic, teleport around like a madman using vipers defense to cause widescale poisoising to all.
Refuge I just have in their in case things get sticky, +8 regen isn't to be laughed at even if it only lasts 4 seconds.
Not sure what elite I would use yet as I haven't seen em all but any suggestions (and where to get it) would be useful.
What do you all think?

Yup you do actually have more % there.
You just counted the CS and skill, but your DM gives you some Crit too.

Doesnt dagger mastery only add chance to do double attacks?

You gained an additional 18.8% (approx) chance to hit from 13 points in dagger mastery

NO MORE APPLY POISON!!!
How many A/R have I seen misusing that thing...it's not for short-duration Assassin spikes! You'll get eight seconds of poison out of it for fifteen Energy. Why is that so cool? You've got high Shadow Arts, bring Viper's Defense. Longer Poison, less Energy, offense/defense and the quickest-recharging teleport in the game. Not as controllable, yeah, but you're sacrificing a secondary profession, fifteen Energy and a superb defensive/controlling move and half the poison duration for the ability to control where it lands.
Apply Poison sucks on most Rangers, it's not meant to be slapped on anything with a physical weapon!

No need to shout Theres still a lot of skills I haven't bought/explored so it's no suprise that I missed this one :P
I agree, the build seems to work better with vipers defence, I'll edit the first post.
Thanks for the advice.

I hear everyone talking about spamming vipers defense to teleport about and poison everybody, but maybe Im missing something because mine recharges no where near that fast? Close as I can come to those descriptions is Vipers Defense+Death Charge+Dash?

Every time you hit the target the duration of poison is renewed, every target that you hit will be poisoned. You have the ability to spread poison in a large group simply by Tab + Space. How does Viper's Defense compare to this ? Unless you dont want to be spreading poison in the first place, this skill cannot in any way match Apply Poison.

A little off-topic but what else would you prefer for spreading poison ? Poison Arrow ?

Yes, actually .
I know, noobish of me, but a cheap and easily spammable arrow attack beats hell out of preps to me. Not for all builds, of course, and I enjoy a good Cripshot as much as the next man, but honestly - that eight seconds of Poison in my first post accounted for the attack re-upping.
Besides, Chimp himself said that VD worked better, so there! XP.
Anyways, tabbing through enemies and evenly applying five seconds of poison apiece seems like a bad idea here, both total effectiveness wise and according to the function of the build. Assassins are single-target specialists - leave Apply Poison and degen spreading to Cripshots. They're better at it than any Assassin anyways, save for a Bloody Barrage type. And even then, if I was going for pure degen and techness, I'd take a Cripshot.
